JZJ2B Series of Liquid-ring Roots Vacuum Pump Set

JZJ2B Roots water ring unit set is a kind of air pumping unit composed of Roots pump as main pump and 2BV water ring pump or Roots-water ring unit set as backing pump. It can evacuate, in addition to common gases, gases which contain moisture, organic solvent or a little dust. This pump is, compared with other mechanical vacuum pumps, resistant to oil, moisture and dust particle and, compare with general water ring vacuum pumps, has high degree of vacuum and large pumping rate under high vacuum.

JZJ2B vacuum unit set takes 2BV water ring pump as backing pump and hence has, compared with JZJ2S series, such merits as high efficiency, compact structure, no leak, (other than the packing seal of 2SK series, 2BV pump applies mechanical seal), corrosion resistance (2BV pump applies stainless steel or aluminum bronze impellers) and high IP grade. The roots vacuum pump used is ZJ Roots vacuum pump developed by our company, which restrains pump oil from emulsification when pumping large amount of steam and all kinds of solvents since we have improved the seal of pump chamber and of bearing chamber. 

The working fluid for backing pump of roots water ring vacuum unit set may be water, organic solvent (e.g. methanol, ethanol, xylene, acetone) or other liquids. The backing pump is used as a closed circulating system to greatly reduce environmental pollution and improve recovery of organic solvent. Its ultimate vacuum depends on the saturated steam pressure of working fluid.

Unit Selection Attention

1.It is important to know the components of gas and whether the gas contains any condensable steam or dust particle or is corrosive. The type of vacuum pump shall be chosen according to the components of the gas to be pumped. Some auxiliary devices, such as condenser and dust remover, may be installed in the air inlet pipe of the pump when the gas contains any steam, particles or corrosive gas.

2.The working pressure of roots vacuum unit set shall conform to ultimate vacuum and working pressure of the vacuum unit. For instance, if a working pressure of 10mmHg (absolute pressure) is required for vacuum drying, the ultimate vacuum of vacuum unit so chosen shall be 2mmHg or ideally below 1mmHg. The ultimate vacuum of pump is usually 1.5 or 2 time the working pressure of vacuum unit.

3.The roots vacuum unit set shall be installed in a proper place. The normal working range of roots vacuum unit set is max. suction pressure ~ ultimate pressure × 5. For instance, JZJ2B150-70-5111 roots vacuum unit set has a normal working range of 6000Pa~125Pa which is the normal working pressure range after the main pump starts up and the range in which the unit set has the best working efficiency.

4.The vacuum unit set shall, under its working pressure, fully evacuate the gas produced during the working flow of the vacuum unit.
